Analysis of Well Test Using Surface Data
Contribution to knowledge:
This study analyzed well tests using surface data. Results showed that use of well test software (Encrin) overestimates the formation permeability and skin factor when compared with the conventional methods. The work also set up a physical model and developed a mathematical model that can be used to determine the formation permeability when fluid is passed through a core sample in the laboratory.
