Discipline: Engineering
Measurement and Modeling Water Content of Sweet Natural Gas with Low Methane Composition
Contribution to knowledge:
The study developed a novel correlation with % Average Absolute Deviation (AAD) of less than 7% and better than existing correlations for water content prediction at low to moderate pressures. Very scarce experimental data required for the optimization of natural gas systems with C 70%. This study proved that the Mcketta and Wehe, Campbell and Gordon's charts can accurately predict water content of gas mixtures with C < 70% with % 1 AAD of less than 10%.
Supervisors:
Dr. Aimikhe, Victor Joseph, was jointly supervised by Prof. Ogbonna F. Joel (Department of Gas Engineering, University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria), Prof. Sunny lyuke (School of Chemical & Metallurgical Engineering, University of the Witawtersrand, Johannesburg) & Prof. Sunday S. Ikiensikimama (Department of Gas Engineering, University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria).
