ACE-CEFOR organized an external defence for 12 batch 4 PhD students of the Centre, from July 16 to 23, 2024. Having fulfilled all obligations of the School of Graduate Studies, the students have now graduated and will take part in the next convocation of the university.

In July 2024, the Africa Centre of Excellence in Oilfield Chemicals Research (ACE-CEFOR), University of Port Harcourt, joined other Nigeria ACE Impact centres in a workshop titled, “Leading Change through Monitoring and Evaluation: A Masterclass Experience”. On Monday, June 17, 2024, ACE-CEFOR continued its series of Innovation & Entrepreneurship workshops for students, aimed at meeting its DLI 5.3 (Entrepreneurship) mandate.  The workshop titled, “Innovation and Entrepreneurship Workshop on ICT Skills”, lasted till Friday, June 21, 2024. The 69 students who were trained during the workshop also sat for international certification examinations.

As part of rounding up the 11th ACE Regional Workshop, ACE-CEFOR took part in the virtual Nigeria Country Roundtable of the workshop, on May 24, 2024.
