On Monday, June 10, 2024, ACE-CEFOR played host to the management team of the Center of Excellence (CoE) in Renewable Energy/Solar at the University of Baghdad (UoB), Iraq. The meeting, a virtual knowledge exchange session between ACE-CEFOR and the Iraqi CoE, facilitated by World Bank Task Team Lead, Dr. Ekua Bentil and World Bank Senior Education Specialist, Dr. Xiaonan Cao, provided an opportunity for ACE-CEFOR to share the ACE-CEFOR development experience, with the Iraqi CoE, who are in the process of starting academic and administrative activities.
The CoE team was led by the UoB President, Professor Dr. Bahaa Ibrahim Ensaf. Other members of his team included Dr. Zeina A. Abdul Redha, Dr. Ali H. Al-Timemy, Amged T. Saeed and Hussein Khalf. The ACE-CEFOR team was led by the Centre Leader, Prof. Ikechukwu Agbagwa.
Other members of his team were the Deputy Centre Leader, Dr. Victor Aimikhe, Monitoring & Evaluation Officer, Mr. Uduma Ikpa and Safeguards Officer, Mr. Daniel Okon.
