Cation Exchange Properties of Chemically Modified Peanut Testa (Arachis Hypogaea L.) Extract for the Treatment of Wastewater
Contribution to knowledge:
The study successfully extracted Peanut testa polyphenols which were then converted to cation exchange resins. The modified peanut testa extract cation exchange resins were successfully used in removing heavy metal ions in aqueous solutions. The work also established a new technique of wastewater remediation using agricultural wastes.
