In May 2024, the Africa Centre of Excellence in Oilfield Chemicals Research (ACE-CEFOR), University of Port Harcourt, took part in the ACE International Partnership Workshop which took place in Mauritius from May 8 to 10, 2024. The meetings, part of the 11th ACE Regional Workshop, provided opportunities for the ACEs to share their progress updates before a mix of international investors, the East Africa ACEs and other stakeholders. There were also pitching sessions for selected ACEs, to pitch for funds from invited Venture Capitalists, for innovative research work. ACE-CEFOR was one of the selected ACEs that pitched at the Partnership Workshop, pitching the Enterprise Resource Platform (ERP) software developed at the Centre. ACE-CEFOR was represented by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Owunari Georgewill, Centre Leader, Prof. Ikechukwu Agbagwa, Deputy Centre Leader, Dr. Victor Aimikhe and Safeguards Officer/IT Lead, Mr. Daniel Okon.
