Virtual  11th Regional ACE Impact Workshop from April 29 – 30, 2024.

ACE-CEFOR joined other ACE Centres in the virtual 11th Regional ACE Impact Workshop, which took place from April 29 to 30, 2024. Highlights of the virtual workshop included a Project Steering Committee (PSC) Meeting and parallel sessions for Monitoring & Evaluation; Procurement; Fiduciary Management & Safeguards, on Monday, April 29. The opening ceremony of the workshop took place on Tuesday, April 30, with a welcome address by Prof. Olusola Oyewole, Secretary General, Association of African Universities (AAU), and opening remarks by Emilie Petereit of AFD and Dr. Namrata Tognatta, Senior Education Specialist and ACE Impact Task Team Lead.

The workshop continued with ACE Impact Project Updates by Dr Sylvia Mkandawire, Senior Project Manager, AAU; Mrs. Adeline Addy, Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning Manager, AAU; Ms. Wuraola Mosuro, Education Consultant & ACE Impact Core Team Member, World Bank and Dr. Quentin Delpech, Higher Education Specialist, AFD. The update session provided an opportunity to discuss the recent verification exercise of the project results, highlighting the immediate outputs, challenges, and recommendations for future verification exercises. The updates were followed by a question and answer session.

The workshop ended with information on the key next steps for the ACE Impact project and the upcoming international partnership workshop taking place in Mauritius from May 8 to 10, 2024. ACE-CEFOR steering committee members led by the Centre Leader, Prof. Ikechukwu Agbagwa, attended the workshop.
The country round tables for participating ACE countries will take place between May 20 and 27, 2024, as part of rounding up the 11th Regional ACE Impact Workshop.
