On Monday October 31, 2022, ACE-CEFOR received officers of the National Universities Commission (NUC) Project Implementation Unit (PIU) who were at the Centre on a Monitoring Visit. The PIU Officers, Patricia Eromosele and Yvonne Obiaga Orekyeh engaged ACE-CEFOR Steering Committee members on achieving DLIs; improving reporting & communication; sustainability and strengthening the relationship between the PIU officers and the Centres.
The objectives of the meeting were to ensure that ACE-CEFOR is:
– Achieving milestones as indicated in the Implementation Plan (IP)
– Exploring areas to ensure sustainability beyond the World Bank intervention, through a robust Sustainability Plan
– In the process of achieving International Accreditation for its programmes
– In the process of achieving Institutional Accreditation for the University
– Ensuring improved fund utilization before the Mid-Term Review/ 8th ACE Impact Workshop
– making timely and correct submissions to AAU.
