Leo C. Osuji (PhD) is a Professor of Petroleum and Environmental Chemistry and former Head, Department of Pure and Industrial Chemistry, University of Port Harcourt (Nigeria). He is currently one of the research coordinators at the World Bank Centre of Excellence for Oil Field Chemicals, and a visiting scholar to the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB). Prof. Osuji was also NUC Research Fellow from 2002 2006, and was in the 2014 NUC accreditation team to some Nigerian Universities. Professor Osuji is a Consultant to reputable Nigerian and international firms, including the renowned London based legal firm, Leigh Day & Co. He is External Assessor to many Nigerian and foreign institutions of higher learning including the Federal University of Petroleum Resources and the University of South Africa (to mention a few). As an oil-fingerprinting expert, he has over sixty peer-reviewed articles published in reputable, high ranking domestic and international journals, including Nature and Science. He is a member of the Chemical Society of Nigeria (CSN), the American Society for Testing Materials (ASTM) and Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE 131697-5).
