Geoffery O. Anoliefo is professor in Department of Plant Biology and Biotechnology, University of Benin (UNIBEN), Benin City, Nigeria. He holds BSc., Biology, Alabama State University, USA (1980); MSc., Biology, Alabama State University, USA, (1981) and Ph.D., Botany, UNIBEN, (1991). He did a postdoctoral fellowship with National Agricultural Research Foundation in Institute of Kalamata, Greece (1999 2000). He also took part in Lachman Singh Gill’s Fellowship (1992- 1994) in UNIBEN. He was an Associate Professor in Biology Department, Mukuba University, Kitwe, Zambia, 2002 – 2004 where he conducted research in the area of metallo-phytotoxicity. He was also an Associate Professor/Remediation Specialist (Plant Biology & Biotechnology) in University of Benin, where he won grants from the Educational Trust Fund to conduct research in plant ecotoxicology. He has also taught Bioremediation, Natural Ecosystems/Biodiversity in Shell Centre of Excellence in Geoscience & Petroleum Engineering. He also has a research experience with Shell Petroleum Development Company (EIA Focal Point: 2012-2013). He is a member of Botanical Society of Nigeria (BOSON) and Nigerian Society for Environmental Management (NSEM).
