Discipline: Engineering
Determination of Capillary Pressure and Frontal Mobility for Niger Delta Cores
Contribution to knowledge:
The study developed a model for capillary pressure determination by taking into account other parameters that influence spontaneous imbibition, which were not considered by Li and Horne, for Niger Delta cores. The study also developed a model for frontal mobility determination by taking into account other parameters that influence spontaneous imbibition which were not considered by Li and Horne, for Niger Delta friable and unconsolidated cores. The combination of the models can be used for the characterization of Niger Delta friable and unconsolidated sandstone.
Supervisors:
Dr. Kerunwa, Anthony, was jointly supervised by Prof. Mike O. Onyekonwu (Department of Petroleum Engineering, University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria), Prof. Olalekan A. Olafuyi (Department of Petroleum Engineering, University of Benin, Nigeria) & Dr. Charley I. C. Anyadiegwu (Department of Petroleum Engineering, Federal University of Technology, Owerri, Nigeria).
