Between May 20 and 22, 2024, ACE-CEFOR hosted staff of the Communication/Media units of the Association of African Universities (AAU) and the National Universities Commission (NUC), who were in the university, to film a documentary to showcase the activities and achievements of ACE-CEFOR, as well as the Impact of the Centre, on the University of Port Harcourt and its host community. The team led by Mrs. Yvonne Orekyeh, Nigeria ACE Impact Project Communications Officer and Assistant Chief Communications Officer at the NUC, was made up of AAU staff, Ms. Lydia Nyame, Mr. Mike Hammah Nkumsah and Mr. Jonathan Kornor. The other NUC staff was Mr. Nathanael Odaudu. The documentary team conducted interviews with the Vice Chancellor, Centre Leader, ACE-CEFOR Steering Committee members, students, researchers and alumni of the Centre, industry partners of the Centre and representatives of the host community, that have benefitted from ACE-CEFOR. The documentary will be part of activities to mark the 10th anniversary of the ACE Project.
