From Monday, October 16 to Friday, October 20, 2023, the Centre, again, organized a workshop for 48 laboratory scientists and technicians of the university. The workshop was facilitated by Dr. A. E. Abah, Dr. J. Amusan, Mr. Ifeanyi Uchechi, Dr. Easter Nwokah and Dr. Mrs. O. P. Elenwo.
The 5-day workshop covered such areas as, Overview of Laboratory Safety, Basic Electronics and Electricity, Instrumentation of Selected Laboratory Equipment, Laboratory Electrification Layout and Power supply System, Equipment specifications, Acquisition and Environment, Basic Biosafety and Biosecurity, Calibration and Validation of Laboratory Equipment, Systems and Equipment Maintenance and Laboratory Inventory, Requisition and Purchasing.
