In the month of March 2023, the Africa Centre of Excellence in Oilfield Chemicals Research (ACE-CEFOR), University of Port Harcourt, in partnership with the Africa Centre of Excellence in Public Health and Toxicological Research (ACE PUTOR), the Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer Office (IPTTO) and the Uniport Entrepreneurial Centre (UPEC) all in the University of Port Harcourt organized a one-day seminar on University Rankings titled, “University Rankings: Understanding the Role of Faculty, Management and Partnerships”.
Speakers at the hybrid seminar included Tristan Horlick, Regional Manager, Africa, at Times Higher Education; Dr. Leslie Adriaanse, Academic Librarian at the University of South Africa; and Prof. Mary Iwundu, Director IPTTO, University of Port Harcourt. The seminar which held on Monday, March 27, 2023, was organized with the support of the University of Port Harcourt Innovation, Intellectual Property Management, Technology Transfer and Entrepreneurship Committee headed by the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Research & Development, Prof. Iyeopu Siminialayi.
